So I am completely new to this blog stuff. I've never really thought that anyone would care at all about the things I would have to say, and actually I still don't. I've come to realize that it doesn't matter. I can put my thoughts and opinions out there and maybe someone will care and probably more won't at all, but so what as long as I am having fun! So what is my blog about? Well my primary focus will be books and all things related to books and reading. I won't pretend that some of my everyday real life won't seep in from time to time though. So let's start with that...
I am a happily married 35 year old. My husband, Brad, is a bank manager and we have been married for almost 10 years. We have 2 children, Zach who is 7, and Kate who is
2 almost 3. They are my life, my world and sometimes my greatest source of frustration, lol. Of course I have left someone out. That would be Chewey our 9 year old yellow lab and no, Chewey did not get his name because of an incessant need to eat things, although he has done his share of that. His full name is Chewbacca in honor of my husbands love affair with all things Star Wars. It was either our pets or the children so I figured I wouldn't fight that battle. We all live in sunny South Florida. By day I am an Environmental Biologist which means I like to play in the woods a lot. I have secret aspirations of someday being a published writer but you have to actually write stuff for that to happen so I'm a long way from publication. But that is a discussion for another post. Let's move on to the reason we are all here...BOOKS!
Ok, so since this is my intro post I won't actually talk about specific books but I will tell you my own personal book history. I am a life long reader. I get it from my mom who always has a book on hand. When I was young I remember sitting in my chair thumbing through my picture books while she sat and read the latest romance. At the age of 4, I discovered mysteries and it is a love that is still going strong. I especially love cozy mysteries. I will read just about any genre but, my favorites aside from mystery are action adventure and classics.
Well, I think that about covers the introduction of me. Look for me to pick up the threads of some of these openings in later posts. I do have a long list of things I want to talk about.
